DocuWeb Information Services Inc. is a company dedicated
to state-of-the-art distribution of digital information.

The principals of DocuWeb have over 50 years of computing experience
including 25 years of that in networked environments. They also
have experience amounting to over 25 years in electronic document
preparation and handling. They have been involved with World Wide
Web technology almost from its inception, and extensively experienced
with Web technology. DocuWeb is therefore uniquely placed to offer
its expertise to businesses.
DocuWeb Information Services Inc. provides the following services

- Training in the use of HTML markup and associated tools.

Some of the recent projects undertaken by DocuWeb and the
principals of DocuWeb are:
- Conversion, installation and maintenance of the
"Sí,
Spain" exhibit for the Embassy of Spain in Ottawa. This service
currently receives almost 4000 accesses
from 1000 hosts per day. It was listed in the June 1995 issue of
the PC World (Spanish Edition) as one of the top 50 Web sites in the
world, and is also listed in the Point Top 5% Reviews.
- Creation of a home page for the Embassy of Israel, in Ottawa.
This single page duplicates the appearance of a print advertisement,
and leads to the Embassy's Freenet presentation.
- Embassies
Ottawa, a presentation created for the Embassies and High
Commissions located in Canada's National Capital Region.
- The Engineering
Case Library. A series of case studies for engineering education,
this service is implemented via a custom database of case abstracts,
with many of the HTML documents being dynamically generated via CGI
scripts.
- The Quake
Server. An extremely simple interface between a server of recent
earthquakes provide by the USGS and the map server at Xerox PARC, it
was developed in response to the Northridge Earthquake of 1994.
This page is listed in
the Point Top 5% Reviews, and
is now the only Canadian link on the Yahoo "What's Cool" list and is
accessed about 600 times per day.

servers and HTML for the Government of Canada (Department of Agriculture).
- Document translation from Framemaker to HTML for the Government of
Canada (Department of Agriculture).
- Internet training courses for professional organizations.
- Design of Internet
Standards Document Server.
- The CSCE
Directory of Commercial Software for Civil Engineers. This is an
on-line version of a succesful print publication, with value added
through searching facilities and links to corporate internet services.
- The Tutorial
Gateway. A set of CGI scripts to make easier the web-based
delivery of question-and-answer tutorials for computer aided
instruction.
