Basic Web Presentation

Prepare up to 10 Web pages1 containing content provided by [Client]. Provision has been made for up to 2 graphics to be included (these graphics are in addition to a background, titles and navigation buttons). The actual graphics and content wording will be developed in conjunction with the staff of [Client].
[Client] will supply text for the presentation to DocuWeb, in electronic form3 (ASCII text, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, or other formats).

Domain Registration

Provide and serve a unique Domain name for [Client]. For example http://www.[Client selected name].ca/ (Canadian registration) or http://www.[Client selected name].com/ (commercial registration). Includes registration of name within the Internet. Notes: Canadian registration does not currently levy a yearly fee.
Commercial registration requires a yearly fee levied by the registrar. The invoice for this fee will be sent directly to [Client] by the registrar and are in addition to the costs listed below. ($50.00 US / year, initial fee is $ 100.00 US which covers the first 2 years). Registration takes 2 to 4 weeks on average. DocuWeb will submit the registration request as soon as approval for this work is received..

Dial-in Access

Provide 1 (one) dial-in Internet access account. SLIP or PPP supported to 28,800 baud (56K X2 technology October 1st). 80 hours per month connect time is included. Additional hours over 80 hours a month is at $1.00 per hour. Access is a local Ottawa area (613) call. This account will be assigned to an individual within [Client].

UUCP Support

Provide UUCP support via dial-in to [Client]. Provide 'store and forward' services for e-mail etc. UUCP gateway or other support hardware/software required at client's establishment will be purchased directly by [Client]. DocuWeb can supply support for the installation and commissioning of client owned hardware/software at additional cost.

Real Audio

Provide 1 (one) Real Audio channel for [Client] presentation. [Client] to provide DocuWeb with Real Audio file. DocuWeb can assist in converting other electronic formats to Real Audio format.

Notes:

1A WWW "page" is one logically related unit of information. It is the amount of material retrieved in one "access" by a WWW browser, and corresponds exactly to one computer file of text in HTML format. A WWW page is normally the equivalent of from 1/2 to 3 printed (typewritten) pages.

3 Substantial amounts of text material should be submitted in a common electronic form to DocuWeb; extra charges will be incurred if there is substantial re-typing of material.
4 DocuWeb will also negotiate a flat monthly fee to perform a "normal" number of additions and changes on behalf of the client.

 

Terms and Conditions

  1. Quoted costs DO NOT include applicable taxes. PST, where applicable, and GST will be charged at time of invoice.
  2. Due to potential copyright infringements, DocuWeb requires a letter informing us that the [Client] has the right to reproduce the information (pictures and text) and has authorized ƒocu„eb Information Services Inc. to make the information available on the World Wide Web.
  3. Work on any item will proceed only after receipt of a written request to perform the work and agreement on the terms.
  4. DocuWeb warrants its software and work for a period of 90 days. During that time, any errors introduced by DocuWeb will be repaired at no charge.
  5. The [Client] is responsible for the accuracy and correctness of all information content. DocuWeb is responsible only for the presentation of that material, not it’s contents.
  6. DocuWeb reserves the right to refuse to implement any information, technique or service that violates the terms and conditions of the ‘Acceptable Use Policy’ of the National Capital Freenet, the Internet or of its service providers.
  7. Payment is due 10 days after receipt of invoice.
  8. Regular monthly charges are billed on the first day of the month to which they apply.
  9. Regular monthly arrangements may be terminated by either party on two months written notification.
